Cleanliness is one of the most important aspects to any resorts or hotels. Not for the guests but for the staff as well. Every Friday in Sutera Harbour we would have a cleaning session; not the entire resort of course. Our Human Resource personnel would go down and request for volunteers to help with the session.

So last week, we had another of our weekly rituals at one of the workers’ favourite destinations; the smoking area.
Everyone geared up, using gloves and mask; some even changed clothes for the purpose.
One of the best things which resulted from the session was the friendship we fostered. Not only we got to spruce up the place, we also made new friends. Truth be told, we don’t really know all the people who cook the food we eat or who take care of the security or those who handle events at hotels do we? Well maybe some; but not all of them. So it was nice to see new faces, get to know them and what they do.
And the icing on the cake? At the end of the session, the volunteers were rewarded with some light refreshments. This was our reward last week. :)
