Sutera Harbour Marina & Country Club was recently awarded 5 Gold Anchor Global Marina Accreditation by the Marina Industries Association (MIA), thus joining a fraternity of marinas in Southeast Asia to be honoured with the prestigious accolade.
The 5 Gold Anchor accreditation is comparable to the 5-star rating for accommodation and provides a benchmark standard for marinas in terms of facilities and customer service.
General Manager of Sutera Harbour Marina Golf and Country Club, Richard NH Blackie said “It has been a very rewarding and educational process participating in the Gold Anchor accreditation scheme run through the Marina Industries Association. To have achieved this globally recognised 5 Gold Anchor accolade is tremendously gratifying.
“We are now the only 5 Gold Anchor Marina in Malaysia and the first in Borneo, something we are very proud of. Marina Industries Association (MIA) Chairman and President, Andrew Chapman said Sutera Harbour Resort was setting the benchmark in Malaysia for marina standards. “I note the assessor’s comments about the strong commitment to maintenance and customer service and I applaud the management for the specific focus on these very important aspects of the business.”
The Gold Anchor assessor of the Resort commented “The extensive range of facilities and services available to boaters at the Resort is very impressive. Combined with a very safe harbour, friendly staff and well maintained facilities, it is clearly a 5 Gold Anchor marina facility.”
The Gold Anchor Scheme has been developed by the marina industry with the specific objective of raising standards and providing customer centric services.
